Use Megaphone’s creator research, video analysis, and writing voices inside Claude or Codex, then send finished scripts to Megaphone on your iPhone.
What you need: the updated Megaphone iPhone app and access to the private pilot. You do not need a Megaphone email login, a web purchase, Node.js, or a downloaded plugin.
Connecting Megaphone to Claude or Codex
Megaphone runs as a hosted remote MCP connector. Add the same address in either assistant:
https://joinmegaphone.com/mcp
When the assistant opens Megaphone sign-in, your iPhone creates a five-minute, single-use code. The code proves which existing Firebase account is connecting, including accounts that do not have an email address. It does not create a second account or change purchases.
INSTRUCTIONS
Set up Megaphone in Claude
Step 1: Add the custom connector
- Open Claude on the web, in Claude Desktop, or in Cowork.
- Go to Customize → Connectors.
- Click +, then choose Add custom connector.
- Enter Megaphone as the name and
https://joinmegaphone.com/mcpas the remote MCP URL.
- Leave Advanced settings empty. Megaphone handles OAuth automatically; no client ID, client secret, API key, or custom header is needed.
- Click Add.
On Team or Enterprise plans, an Owner may need to add it first from Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Each member then connects their own Megaphone account.
Step 2: Connect your iPhone account
- In Customize → Connectors, find Megaphone (Custom) and click Connect.
- A browser tab opens with the Megaphone authorization page.
- On your iPhone, open Megaphone → Settings → Account → Connect AI assistant.
- Tap Generate code.
- Enter the displayed code in the browser and approve the connection. The code expires after five minutes and works once.
- Return to Claude. Megaphone should now show as connected.
If the browser tab does not open, check the pop-up blocker or your organization’s connector policy, then click Connect again and generate a new code.
Step 3: Enable Megaphone in a conversation
- Open a Claude conversation.
- Click + → Connectors and enable Megaphone for that conversation.
- Leave Tool access on Auto for normal use. Review the available tools if you prefer to approve them individually.
- Ask: “Check my Megaphone account and phone connection.”
Claude Code terminal option
You can add the same hosted connector directly from Terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user megaphone https://joinmegaphone.com/mcp
Then run
/mcp inside Claude Code, select Megaphone, and complete sign-in with the iPhone code. Verify the registration with:claude mcp get megaphone
Set up Megaphone in Codex
Step 1: Add the remote MCP server
In the ChatGPT desktop app:
- Open Settings → MCP servers.
- Select Add server.
- Enter Megaphone as the name.
- Choose Streamable HTTP.
- Enter
https://joinmegaphone.com/mcp.
- Save the server, then select Restart.
The ChatGPT desktop app, Codex CLI, and Codex IDE extension share MCP configuration on the same Codex host.
Codex terminal option
Run:
codex mcp add megaphone --url https://joinmegaphone.com/mcpcodex mcp login megaphone
Codex will open the Megaphone authorization page. Dynamic client registration and OAuth are automatic; do not add a bearer token.
Step 2: Connect your iPhone account
- Keep the Codex authorization page open.
- On your iPhone, open Megaphone → Settings → Account → Connect AI assistant.
- Generate a code, enter it in the browser, and approve the connection.
- Return to Codex and restart it if the new server is not immediately visible.
Step 3: Confirm the connection
- Type
/mcpin Codex and confirm Megaphone is connected.
- Or run
codex mcp listin Terminal.
- Ask: “Use Megaphone to check my account and list what you can do.”
How to know it worked
- Claude shows Megaphone (Custom) as connected.
- Codex shows Megaphone in
/mcpwithout an authentication error.
- “Check my Megaphone account” returns the connected account and phone delivery status.
- “List my Megaphone custom voices” returns any ready voices synced from the updated iPhone app.
Tool permissions
Megaphone requests three groups of access:
- Read: account context, niches, followed creators, trends, cached analysis, voice presets, and custom voices.
- Analyze: creator lookup, creator videos, refreshed outliers, and new video analysis.
- Deliver: phone pairing and sending finished scripts to the iPhone.
For the private pilot, allowing all three gives Claude or Codex the complete workflow. Disconnect everything at any time from Megaphone → Settings → Account → Connect AI assistant → Disconnect all.

Megaphone MCP workflows
Find the best videos from creators you follow
“Show my Megaphone niches and followed creators. Find the strongest available outliers from the last seven days, retrieve existing analyses, and compare their hooks, topics, and formats. Tell me where data is missing.”
Deep-analyze a creator
“Find [creator handle], retrieve their recent videos, identify unusual performers, and explain the recurring hook and format patterns.”
Write in your custom voice
“List my Megaphone custom voices. Load [voice name], then use its writing guidance to draft three versions of this idea.”
Analyze a video and send the final script
“Check the existing Megaphone analysis for [video URL]. If it is missing, analyze it. Help me write an original script and wait for me to choose the final version.”
When ready: “Send this final script to Megaphone using request ID my-script-v1.” Open Megaphone on your iPhone, then ask: “Check delivery for my-script-v1.”
What stays in the iPhone app
Follow and unfollow creators, create and edit custom voices, record, edit video, export, and schedule inside Megaphone. Use Zernio for the existing calendar view. The MCP supplies research, analysis, writing context, and script delivery.
Troubleshooting
- Private pilot error: The Firebase account on the phone is not on the current allowlist.
- No authorization page: Allow pop-ups, check your organization’s connector policy, and start Connect or Login again.
- Code rejected: Generate a fresh code. Codes expire after five minutes, work once, and are tied to the authorization request you started.
- Tools missing: Restart the client and start a fresh conversation or task. In Claude Code or Codex, use
/mcp.
- Custom voice missing: Install and open the updated iPhone build so the account can sync its voices. Draft voices must finish generation first.
- Followed creators missing: Open or refresh Discover in the updated app so its followed-creator context is mirrored.
- Script remains queued: Open Megaphone on the connected iPhone before the delivery expires, then check the same request ID again.
- Wrong account: Disconnect all AI assistants in Megaphone and reconnect using a code generated from the intended phone account.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an email account or web purchase?
No. The one-time iPhone code connects the existing Firebase user ID and preserves that account’s purchases and data.
Does this use Megaphone credits?
The private pilot does not deduct Megaphone credits. Fresh scraping or analysis can still create provider costs, and Claude or Codex has its own usage limits.
Is the connection permanent?
The authorization can refresh for up to 30 days. You can revoke all active assistant connections from the iPhone at any time.
What does queued mean?
Queued means the script reached the server inbox. Received means the connected iPhone opened Megaphone and saved it. Deliveries currently expire after 48 hours.
Can it publish or schedule posts?
No. Recording, editing, publishing, and scheduling remain in Megaphone and its existing integrations.
